The only thing really funny, it's the pronunciation section. Imagine 4 pages at the end of the book, entitled Dictionnaire de la prononciation [Pronunciation dictionary], and showcasing words obviously randomly chosen. I don't know whether it has been invented by the author but that is what it looks like:
- cactus : kak-tuce
- clown : klounn
- quadruple : koua-druple
- fixation : fik-sa-cion
- watchman : ouat-chmane
Well, too bad, you find out at the last page that this dictionary was already obsolete before its publication, since "le dictionnaire classique universel was already in press when the annexion to France of the Savoie and the County of Nice has been finalized". Thus...
