Étymologie modifier
- (2001) Composé de chôra ("instabilité, changement" selon Platon) et anaptyxe (phénomène d'insertion) avec le suffixe adjectival -ique. Terme créé par l'auteure J. K. Rowling dans son œuvre Les Animaux fantastiques. L'auteure explique l'origine du terme dans une entrevue avec Entertainment Weekly[1]: I thought it was a real thing. I had been taught in my youth that fish only growed to the size that's available. So I was confident of this and thought we had a term for [this]. But then I looked it all up and I found to my horror that a fish remains stunted if the water quality is poor, so they don't have that quality at all... So I had to coin this phrase because I conceived this creature [...]
